Totta Hardwoods refinished our floors this year and did an outstanding job. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Mike and Ben Totta are hands on and answered all of my questions with a great level of detail. They are professional and stand by their work. The floors look amazing. They are true craftsmen and take pride in their work . They are professional, knowledgable and have an attention to detail that make them a standout. Totta Hardwoods has completed replacing our balusters to wrought iron and they installed new hardwood in our living room. They sanded and refinished the kitchen, dining, and hallway and matched it all to aged barrel. This company is top notch and you won’t find a better one. Between there professionalism and pride in there work, you won’t be disappointed. There always willing to answer/explain anything you ask. It’s hard finding contractors who care more about there product than the dollar. Totta doesn’t skimp on anything. I highly recommend them and will use them for future projects as well.

Was a very good experience all around. From the initial walkthrough with Mike to our installer, Alex, we were very pleased. Work was excellent, always on time, courteous, and finished on time for a reasonable price. Paid for quality, for sure, but worth the job getting done right.

Excellent work

I had used Totta before for refinishing an existing wood floor and replacing carpeted areas in and adjacent to my kitchen remodel project. They did a fine job then and I looked forward to hiring them again, this time to replace another significant area consisting of the master suite, and the stairwell up to that floor. The work was done neatly and with great craft. The technicians were very particular and when there were choices to make they got me involved. I saw exactly what I had seen in the "flat" floor work they had done in the earlier project, but the stairwell reconstruction was novel and I had no idea how precise and particular they would be. The stairs and "balustrade" (a new word which includes the banister, and support balusters, now a part of my vocabulary) are beautiful, but as importantly, although they are solid oak, they are rock solid -- no squeaks, creaks, no give whatsoever. I enjoy things being nice, and things being solid, and I will appreciate living with them, but I cannot deny that I believe these improvements enhance the value of my 45 year old (and 45 year occupied) family home. So the payoff is admittedly aesthetic but eventually also, to a degree, financial.

Mike and crew installed, stained and finished our kitchen/dining/living room with solid oak flooring. Just stunningly beautiful. We arranged to be out of town the week they worked and they were on time starting and completing. I had a newel post that had to be worked around and they removed/reinstalled it better than it was. The stain color matched the stair skirts that had to match exactly. Superb craftsmanship.
